It’s been a while – but they’re back! There are some new Previews, rolled out new features, and improved existing functionality across Power BI Service and Power BI Mobile to see in the New Year.

Latest update for Power BI Report Server. This release features copy and pasting between .pbix files, expand / collapse on matrix row headers, and row-level security support.

Clearly, there were Christmas parties to go to and New Year celebrations. Consequently, the list of December updates was a little smaller than usual...

It's been six years since Microsoft last changed its icon set - about the same time our first newsletter launched! Whilst Liam may refuse to change the photo on the front page of said newsletter to show how time has ravaged him, Microsoft has been more honest.

Last month we mentioned Office 2019 was now Commercially Available. We thought we’d better do some digging and see what was new (compared to Excel 2016, rather than Office 365). There really wasn’t any room in last month’s newsletter, so please forgive our tardiness. However, we aim to put it right now!

Perhaps a few less updates than in recent months, but that’s to be expected and there’s still enough to keep you on your toes!
