MVP Renewals 2025
11 July 2025

Two of SumProduct’s fashion gurus: casual is most definitely “in” at SumProduct this year.
SumProduct is pleased to announce that two of our staff, Tim Heng and Ilgar Zarbaliyev, have been re-awarded Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for Excel and Data Platform respectively for 2025-26. Our alumnus, Steve Kraynak, also celebrated Excel MVP renewal and we pass on our most heartfelt congratulations to him too.
For those wondering about Liam Bastick, the jury is still out – no correspondence has yet been received on Liam’s status one way or the other. But no matter, ‘tis still a cause for celebration!!
This award recognises exceptional technical community leaders from around the world who voluntarily share their high-quality, real-world expertise with others. Microsoft MVPs are a highly select group of experts representing technology's best and brightest who share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help others.
Worldwide, there are over 100 million participants in technical communities; of these participants, there are c.4,000 active Microsoft MVPs. In Excel, for example, we believe there are approximately 130 that have received this award.
Microsoft’s MVP Award evaluates technical expertise and voluntary community contributions for the past year, considering the quality, quantity and level of impact of contributions. It’s a difficult award to attain and just as difficult to retain.
At SumProduct, you can rely on our experience and willingness to help - simply drop us a line at contact@sumproduct.com. Liam won’t ignore you even if he has been! 😊
