The European privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), went into effect last month (May 2018). This can have further effects on all of your spreadsheets (e.g. as well as Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements), but there’s consequences for those of you working with Power BI too. Consequently, Microsoft has released the Power BI GDPR Whitepaper. This paper provides high-level guidance on the different options you have in configuring Power BI to meet the requirements of this law across your organisation.
